Casita Chinola - Playa El Encuentro

Pros: the room was well equipped for all our needs and comfort. it was beautifully designed and decorated, and easy to find on the map upon arrival. the fan and ac (for a small extra cost per day) kept us cool. the bed was comfortable, and we recieved a cot for the baby which made things easier. we found it child friendly for our 1.5 year old who liked playing in the grass and with the kitty and on the swing. it was useful having a fridge and bottled water. the pool was a highlight - so relaxing, we spent a lot of time there and really enjoyed the floaties inside. Marie was very helpful and answered all our questions and concerns quickly. we had a lovely time!

Cons: the mosquitos were endless - this is just a fact of being in such an environment... Marie provided several things which were useful in lessening them, but try to bring your own products too if you like. the location is secluded, which can be a good thing, but a challenge if you do not have a car - a good thing to be aware of. also means you do not have many food options beyond a nearby food park (although we discovered on the last day that a few places do delivery). but these are just things to be aware of for future guests, not necessarily things to keep you away!

Pros: Really Nice place, à down to earth approch, with a touch of tropical paradise.

Cons: Not the fault of the host, but water supply was erratic.

Pros: Casita chinola is a very nice place with a garden of banana and passion fruit trees and swimming pool. Convenient to have a small kitchen with fridge and a nice terrace. You can reach a good bakery in 2 minutes walk and an excellent fruit shop at the main road (5 minutes). A beautiful beach is reachable on foot in 10-15 minutes. Marie is a pleasant and helpful host. We highly recommend this place.

Pros: Posto con vibes stupende, Eve, la gestora al mio arrivo è stata un'ospite fantastica e ci siamo sentiti per qualche giorno parte della casa. Letti comodissimi, camera molto molto bella. Acqua potabile un passo fuori dalla stanza.

Cons: Veramente tantissime zanzare, senza aria condizionata (non compresa nel prezzo) la notte non si riesce a liberarsene

A Must-stay!

Pros: Marie, the hostess is amazing! She made sure I had everything I needed, and that she was available if I needed anything else. The place is absolutely beautiful! I could not have asked for a better area, central to everything. The garden and pool is something I haven't seen offered anywhere else except expensive hotels. You won't want to leave! Take advantage of the air conditioning, and get some bug spray and you're set, (there's mosquitoes in the Dominican! Jaja!) Enjoy!

Cons: I didn't like that I couldn't stay longer! I would probably add a covering to a couple windows, but only because i'm not an early riser.

Pros: El alojamiento es súper acogedor y la anfitriona también

Cons: La ducha tenía muy poquita presión pero la anfitriona iba a revisar. Hay muchos mosquitos en la zona también, pero es lo que tiene vivir en la naturaleza :)
