FANTASTIC

Pros: We had a wonderful stay! The location was perfect, and the room was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. Omar was absolutely amazing: he gave us a warm welcome, helped us with our luggage, and even walked us to our parking spot when we checked out. He was incredibly kind and attentive. The breakfast he served was also delicious. We’ll be back on August 7th before our return flight and are already looking forward to it!

Good place, great staff and in the heart of everything.

Pros: I had a superior suite so I had a balcony that I really enjoyed. It allowed me to have great views while having my morning coffee and also enjoy the city passing during the evening when having a nightcap. The staff were also extremely friendly and tried their hardest to communicate with me and gave me stellar recommendations.

Cons: I did not like that they charged 25USD to have guest. So, just beware.

Pros: My third stay at Casa Adefra and everytime I got new reasons to love this place. Tailored-services.Trustworthy, caring and super safe. Dominic is an exceptional manager, Melissa the sweetest and most helpful receptionist while Omar will look after you as a visiting family member. He will hep you gaining time, fuss and money on everything if you just ask.

A haven amongst the chaos

Pros: Great decor, spotless and where you want to be located in Santo Domingo. Great restaurant recommendation for our one night stay, too, within a couple of blocks of the hotel.

Cons: The policy of taking a large deposit and holding it for up to a week after checkout was alarming, although it is in the Ts & Cs. Never been asked for that before, but they did waiver it for us ultimately. Breakfast could be better but wasn't bad.

Little oasis in the heart of the colonial district

Pros: We really enjoyed everything. It was the ideal accommodation for a short city stay. The hotel itself was perfect, very well equipped, very clean, with the loveliest and most helpful staff. Shout out to Kamal, who went off his way to provide a good stay - from the communication prior arrival with clear instructions on everything, the comprehensive list of things to do, the spot on restaurant suggestions, and lastly but not least, the delicious breakfast he prepared fresh, every morning! We are non meat eaters, and every morning he replaced meat elements by something else we could eat, even though we did not ask for that. The location of the hotel is bang on the center of the colonial district, on the buzzing, car free, Calle el Conde. This allowed us to explore everything on foot, which was great.

Cons: If I am going to mention anything, it is the fact our room had no window or a balcony. Actually, it had a tiny window but it opened into a depressing dark hole. We are morning people, and we enjoy having a coffee outside, early in the morning, before most people are awake. This room was allocated to me, and I would gladly have paid a bit more, for a room with a balcony. So bear this in mind when booking. That said, we went to the very large downstairs interior patio of the hotel, and enjoyed our early morning coffee, outside, anyway. So no harm done.

Cozy small hotel in the city center

Pros: It was the best accommodation experience in the Dominican Republic, even compared to much more expensive hotels/resorts. Omar, Kamal and the staff always check in for your needs (even accommodating our food restrictions and providing vegetarian and vegan options), give cultural tips and keep the rooms and hotel super clean. I would definitely come back and recommend it! The location is good and close to Santo Domingo's main highlights, which is quite useful. Rooms are brand new and well taken care of! Good vegetarian restaurant nearby (Time).

Cons: They have a restricted visitor's policy, which makes it difficult for people traveling for work who might meet partners and other staff members. No place to work besides your room (the breakfast area is open and gets too hot after 10am).
