Safe, cute, and affordable!
Pros: I was so pleased with my experience at Villa Mar Sosua that I ended up staying twice more on my 3 week trip traveling around the DR! BEAUTIFUL property, cutely decorated rooms, and very kind staff. As a solo female traveler in the DR for my very first time, I was a bit nervous about safety - and I felt SO SAFE here on this property. Parking was easy, and they have a restaurant on site too (though I didn't end up getting to try it).
Cons: If you are a solo female traveler, I don't recommend being out & about in this area after dark. I definitely stood out as a white person & got quite a few looks as I was walking around, there aren't many tourists in the neighborhood (which personally I appreciated - it felt REAL to me in a way touristy areas don't). Also one of the beds I stayed in was pretty hard, but the others were great! The rooms are absolutely adorable.

Pros: Freundliches Personal und kreativ gestaltetes, geräumiges Zimmer mit Kühlschrank und kleiner Kaffeemaschine. Prima, dass wir am Nachmittag nach dem Auschecken noch die Außendusche und die Handtücher benutzen durften!

Aangename authentieke plek aan in rustig deel van de stad
Pros: Het was een onverwacht fijn verblijf in de villa. Het is niet super de luxe maar de kamer is prima, AC heb ik niet gemist met de frisse zeelucht, en je kan ontspannen buiten zitten met uitzicht op de tuin. Ik vond deze locatie aan de zuidkant van het strand (heel dichtbij) veel fijner dan de drukke toeristische stad aan de noordzijde van het strand. En het personeel was heel behulpzaam, attent en flexibel toen ik wat later wilde uitchecken. Kortom een plek waar ik me snel tuis voelde.
Cons: Het bed mag iets harder.

Charming!
Pros: The location: Villa Mar Sosua is the hotel closest to the beach: one minute walk! Additionally, it's only 5 minutes from the Caribe Tours Station. The neighborhood is quiet and the hotel itself is a hidden gem! The charm: The place is rustic and that makes all its charm! Decorations are all made with natural materials like wood, shells and fabrics. I'll definitely stay there again!
Cons: The bathroom towels are very used and need to be replaced

Pros: I had a great stay at the Villa Mar Sousa. The check in was quick and easy. The room was clean and comfortable. Nice clean bathroom. Also, you have safe to store your valuables. However, the room had no A/C only a ceiling fan which you could adjust the speed. The lighting in the room is something that could be worked on. However, overall it was a good stay.

Pros: Das Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir waren aufgrund einer Beerdigung in dem Hotel. Netterweise durften wir etwas später auschecken, weil wir noch auf dem Friedhof waren. Alles in allem ein gutes Hotel im schönen Ambiente mit guter Lage.

Pros: Super liebes Personal, das unglaublich hilfsbereit ist. Manche sprechen nur Spanisch, aber die Vermieterin und eine, die im Restaurant arbeiten sprechen fließend deutsch. Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr lecker. Der Strand ist fußläufig zu erreichen.

Pros: El lugar está ubicado a 5 minutos caminando de la playa, el apartamento estaba conforme a lo especificado, la cocina dotada de lo necesario para cocinar, las camas cómodas.
Cons: En la noche el ventilador sonaba un poco fuerte.

Kleine, familiär geführte Appartmentanlage in sehr guter Lage
Pros: Ruhige Lage, und trotzdem quasi mittendrin. 5 min zum Strand, 15min zu allen Tauchschulen, wir empfehlen hier Merlin. Bequeme Betten, makellose Moskitonetze an jedem Fenster, Balkon, Wohnzimmer, 2 Schlafzimmer, gut ausgestattete Küche. Direkt unter uns ein kleines Restaurant, in dem man gut und günstig frühstücken und Mittagessen kann. Das Wichtigste jedoch ist die Herzlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft von Sabine, ihrer Familie und dem gesamten Personal. Vielen Dank nochmals. Klare Empfehlung von uns!!!
