Pros: Great Location on the beach, spacious room, great staff

Pros: Amazing experience at Blue Island Punta Rucia! The staff is absolutely incredible—super friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything you need. The restaurant is fantastic, with delicious, fresh food and a beautiful seaside setting. But the real highlight was the private excursions to Cayo Arena—100% worth it! Easily the best thing I’ve seen in the Dominican Republic. We saw so many colourful fish, enjoyed crystal-clear waters, and had a completely personalised experience. Highly recommended! Hope to be back soon.

One of the best stays in Dominican Republic! We enjoyed it a lot!

Pros: We didn't have high expectations, and this place surprised us in many ways. The host was just amazing. He was so caring, supportive, and very helpful. He went beyond, extra miles to answer all our questions, help us feel comfortable and enjoy our stay. He arranged us a boat to Cayo Arena; we had great food and the best memories here. We'd highly recommend this place!

I’d stay here in this paradise anytime again. No hesitation.

Pros: Location in a quiet (apart from merengue/bachata as everywhere in RD) fishing village with little tourism, and this 2-bedroom (+villas) is one of few, giving the place a feeling of stepping back 30 years. Although busy and more lively everywhere on weekends with Dominicans from Santiago etc. Staff lovely, location so on the beach, water warm beautiful calm for swimming. Food excellent. Comfy bed, beautiful spacious room.

Cons: Nothing. As a suggestion though: the menu could be expanded a bit. I found that the whole village was offering mostly the same menu and after a while, I longed for more variety. (See Mosquito boutique hotel, Las Terrenas for more ideas!). Everything they did cook at Blue Island was beautifully done.

It was an excellent 5-night stay in Punta Rucia! Highly recommended venue.

Pros: Le cadre est magnifique, l’accueil est incroyable, l’on s’occupe de vous aux petits oignons. Juan Carlos est très gentil. La nourriture est excellente. Et l’endroit est très calme. Dédicace également à Kleiby le capitaine de notre excursion avec l’hôtel à Cayo Arena, vivez cette expérience, vous en prendrez plein les yeux et le capitaine est un amour.

Pros: Prime beachfront location with a beautiful beach! Outstanding service and not to mention the delicious menu options at their restaurant 😋 🙌💯 Very comfortable bedroom suite perfect for a couple's get away. Owners were there and were very nice and on top of everything! Maye, the restaurant manager, was amazingly courteous and even brought the green bananas for my mom who is diabetic and could only have that item for breakfast 😀 They also arranged the tour to Cayo Arena and that was also an amazing experience! I just regret not staying longer but will definitely plan to be back soon 🙏🏽🌞
