La Hacienda Hostel-Rancho

Pros: We had a wonderful stay at Karin’s hostel and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Everything was clean, and there was such a warm, friendly community atmosphere that made us feel comfortable right away. Karin explained everything clearly and was incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We enjoyed our time there so much that we spontaneously decided to extend our stay by an extra night. Changing the booking was easy and uncomplicated, which we really appreciated. Overall, we felt genuinely welcomed, relaxed, and had a great time. Highly recommended.

Pros: The host was absolutely lovely and very helpful, made me feel right at home and gave some great recommendations! The facilities in the room and public spaces were great, if you are looking for a place that feels like it’s in the countryside but is close enough to a town this is the place for you! I cannot recommend this stay enough!!

Quiet paradise near the beach

Pros: The place is quiet and peaceful surrounded by nature (we got avocados and bananas directly from the trees in the garden). The commun kitchen is full equiped and always clean, and the commun areas are perfect for chatting with other guests. The two owners are lovely and always keen to help you with whatever you need. The beautiful beach of Madama is within 45 min walking through the jungle, and Fronton beach is within 1h30.

Cons: nothin

Very peaceful and luminous stay

Pros: Karin, the owner, was fantastic. Some days she was alone taking care of the cats, the horses and the hotel and still would take time to check in with all travelers to see that they were fine. It is very simple to organize horseback riding trip there, good nice horses, well taken care of, and loved!

Cons: I loved the open air kitchen and lounge, as there were a lot of mosquitos when I was there it was however it was difficult to spend time there, except for a beautiful rainy stormy day that blew them all away!

Pros: The owner has quite a few dogs and some Horse too. If you want you can book a ride. I didn't as I am a bit afraid of riding anything with their own brain! The hostel was one of the most peaceful in my travels to the point where I can imagine not wanting to leave. The town itself has little actual activities except for the really nice beaches. I hiked for about 35 minutes to one very nice one that was totally like the one from the movie the Beach. Road there gets a bit rough the last 1/4 mile. Just can't drive faster than about 15 mph. I have a feeling in 5 more years this whole area will blow up like so many of the other gems.

Cons: If you don't have a vehicle its a few miles to any places to eat. I think there is some restaurant near by but never found it.

Pros: Es un lugar para desconectar, unas vez que bajas el ritmo, te acostumbras a la naturaleza y a la poca conexión es un lugar donde podrías estar semanas. Es un trabajo increíble el que hacen Karin y sus voluntarios, tienen todo muy limpio y a los animales en perfecta saludo. Hay playas increíbles cerca. Lo recomiendo

Cons: Si no te gusta caminar, tener poca internet, y cruzarte con insectos, no es tu lugar.

Pros: la atención de Malena fue excelente, el lugar es cómodo con mucha naturaleza, el colchón es cómodo, la cocina compartida tiene lo necesario

Cons: que está muy alejado del pueblo y no hay nada cerca para comprar, para ir caminando es muy lejos, se puede usar mototaxis, pero nosotros preferimos caminar

Pros: Super séjour à la campagne, proche des plages et sentiers randos pour Fronton et Madama. Possibilité de faire une balade à cheval aussi! Karene toujours disponible et prévenante, bonne ambiance et bienveillance.

Pros: Ojalá pudiera darle más de 10 puntos a “La Hacienda Hostel”. Llevo recorriendo varias semanas el país y sólo en este lugar realmente me sentí como en casa, la tranquilidad del lugar, la hospitalidad de su anfitriona, el ambiente tan lindo lleno de naturaleza y animales…fue perfecto. Además, estaba todo sumamente limpio, la habitación cómoda, el wifi funcionó súper bien. Sufrí una quemadura en un paseo y llegando al hostal me ayudaron y curaron…estoy muy agradecida sin duda volvería. Gracias Karin

Cons: Nada que decir.

Pros: Karin es un amor de persona, tiene sus caballos y un refugio de gatos. Las instalaciones son muy bonitas, aunque diferentes de las expectativa que teníamos.

Cons: El baño es complicado ya que es incómodo usar la manguera, no es una regadera como tal, y no hay privacidad. Aunque entiendo la razón ecológica detrás de la misma. La ubicación es difícil de llegar, ya que es un buen tramo de terracería bastante fea y en subida. Aunque, tiene su lado positivo ya que quedas super cerca del sendero a las playas.
