Fata Morgana Eco Hotel

Pros: Large rooms, large kitchen, very spacious and comfortable stay. Very accommodating host and helpful with all questions answered. Drinking water available and everything needed for cooking available. Amazing ambience and environment, parking available - quiet, so easy to sleep. Bonus - lots of animals around to play with!

Cons: Not enough time to meet everyone there!

Pros: It was such a peaceful stay. Around nature and animals.

Cons: I would recommend putting a curtain in the window for more intimacy.

Pros: Wonderful, authentic stay, perfect for animal lovers. I really enjoyed the peace, the simplicity, the friendly animals, the hammock, the shared kitchen. Loved every moment.

Pros: It was a amazing place to stay, the animals are lovely and the garden is really nice and relaxing. The communal areas are nice as it makes you interact with other travellers and hear there stories and tell you about places to visit. The staff and owner where really nice, Edit (the owner) is very helpful with her 5 language and experience as a guide.

Pros: It’s a great place to stay, extremely clean and well Maintained property. It is a little farther out from town but also closer to playa coson and playa Bonita. It’s also easy to find. The room was very comfortable and spacious and well worth the money, very cheap for what you get. Drinking water available in the shared kitchen. Hot water in shower.

Cons: I had arrived to the property later than I told the host, because when your traveling things don’t always go according to plan. I tried to call 5 times, and also texted once, to which nobody responded.. until the next day. When I arrived there was nobody to receive me and a woman in the house just ignored me, and I was left to wait until I was eventually let in by one of the long term tenants. When the host arrived on the property later that night she scolded me as if she was my mom, which I did not appreciate. Flexibility with check in and communication needs improvement here if you want to run an accommodation business. Answering your phone would be a good start!

Good value for money

Pros: Good value for the price, I got there later at night and left early so didn't get a chance to use the amenities or look around the property. I appreciated that the host helped me with securing a moto-taxi

Cons: The property is a bit out of the way, far from downtown and the beach, but not that quiet either. I wouldn't necessarily have wanted to stay there for a long stay, but perfect for my last night in Las Terrenas

Cons: Location is a bit far from Playa Bonita but only 5-10min by cab so manageable. Better have mosquito or black fry repellent
