Pros: Very good breakfast Spacious and super clean room Friendly staff, well connected with local and reliable drivers. They can provide good tips for your stay in cabarete. Amazing garden
Cons: I had to change rooms during my stay. Please note my first one didn’t have a door in the bathroom. Also, getting to Cabarete town after 7pm isn’t that easy. Walking isn’t really an option, so you have to take either a taxi or a motoconcho.

Beautiful cute little hideaway in tropical garden
Pros: Beautiful cute little hideaway in a tropical garden. Very comfy room and bed, beautiful view, very quiet - no traffic noise - and a fantastic place to hang out and make new friends, go kayaking, enjoy breakfast and drinks, good vibes, yoga, tanning on the terrace, hanging in the pool...
Cons: Protect yourself from the mosquitos when in the garden - surprisingly not necessary on the river or in the rooms.

Peaceful place and wonderful hosts
Pros: Taif and Estee are wonderful hosts – very friendly and truly attentive. Their guesthouse is peaceful, nestled in lush greenery – a true haven of peace.

Pros: I had a wonderful stay at Kibayo! It’s located in a peaceful area, away from the noisy main street, which made for a super relaxing atmosphere. The place is beautiful and thoughtfully designed, with a calm and welcoming vibe, as well as everything needed for a comfortable stay. What made the experience even more special were the amazing hosts — incredibly kind, accessible, and genuinely passionate about sharing the spirit of Cabarete. Thanks to them, I had the chance to extend my stay and discover not only the town but also its vibrant and friendly community. Highly recommend!

Escape into nature in Cabarete
Pros: - Very friendly & helpful staff (even helped with a flat tire! & Very responsive to questions on WhatsApp); - nice common area fully in nature including lagoon access and kayaks to use for free; the vibe was a mix between a boutique hotel and hostel :) - breakfast was simple but nice (comparable to other 3* hotels in DR: fresh fruits, coffee, eggs & bread, jam & butter) - free drinking water refill
Cons: - Room was quite small compared to other hotels/rooms at the same price point in DR - note that the en-suite bathroom doesn’t have a door - suggestion for the future: cover the lounge furniture during rain (or bring inside) to avoid it being wet when the sun comes back out - because of the fickle weather, the lounge furniture, hammocks and bean bags were wet during our stay. - good to know: the location next to the lagoon is beautiful but it doesn’t mean that it’s a bit of a walk to the main road (down a fairly dark road) - we took the car everywhere when we went into town.

Fantastic place to relax and unwind
Pros: Our stay at Kibayo was absolutely wonderful. The location is perfect—nestled in nature, with a beautiful pool and a charming breakfast area that makes every morning feel special. The rooms are thoughtfully designed to maintain a close connection with the natural surroundings, creating a serene and relaxing atmosphere. The staff was incredibly responsive and helpful, quickly answering our questions on WhatsApp and even arranging a taxi to Punta Cana for us. We also took advantage of the complimentary kayaks and spent an hour paddling down the lagoon—an unforgettable and peaceful experience. While we didn’t have a car, getting around was easy. It’s just a short five-minute walk to the main road, where you can catch a minibus the locals use that runs regularly or flag down a moped or car taxi. Overall, Kibayo is a fantastic place to relax and unwind, with friendly and attentive staff who go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Highly recommended!
Cons: Whilst the breakfast was delicious, a bit more variety would have been appreciated
