Gorgeous, comfortable, laid-back property for all ages

Pros: Our favorite stay in the DR by far! Property is gorgeous and the staff and guests are both laid back and friendly. Spring for a massage as they are affordable and excellent. Food was great with many options for varied diets. I don’t drink alcohol and really appreciated the delicious mocktail menu. We are a married couple traveling without our kids, but the facility is child- and baby-friendly and all children we saw there were remarkably well-behaved. Our cabana was gorgeous with a great mattress. We loved lazing on the porch with its comfy hammock. We didn’t spend time at the pool with the ocean right there, but it was clean and a comfortable temperature. The property arranged multiple drivers for us, and they were extremely punctual (even in the very early morning) and well worth the cost. Maximo drove us to the waterfalls and dropped us at our next hotel in Puerto Plata afterward, and he was great. Highly recommend!

Cons: Our cabana was next to the office and could get a bit loud at night when people were walking past. That is literally the only thing I can think of.

Relaxing, beautiful eco hotel

Pros: Exceptional , kind, friendly service. The grounds are beautiful and clean. Our cabaña was comfortable and clean and over looked the pool area - which was perfect for our children. Steps to the beach and dining areas.

Cons: We were disappointed the beach bar wasn't open while we were staying (sun-tuesday) we were looking forward to a cocktail in that space. We ordered from the restaurant, which was good. We would have liked to have more towels readily available. No problems asking for them, but we had 6 in our room and 4 towels.

Pros: La comida, la ubicación, el personal era muy agradable y el sitio era muy relajante

Calme, Sérénités, beauté et qualité!

Pros: Un des meilleurs établissement que nous avons eu en République Dominicaine. Très bel emplacement en bord de mer avec le bruit des vagues en fond sonore. Beau bungalow bien décoré tourné vers la piscine et la mer. Restaurant raffiné, très bon, service parfait.

Cons: Tout était parfait. Nous reviendrons.

El paraíso a tu alcance

Pros: Es perfecto para desconectar de la rutina y el estrés diario y reconectar con uno mismo y la naturaleza. El personal es muy amable y atento y toda la comida deliciosa!

Cons: No ofrece demasiados servicios para salir de allí. Tienen un par de contactos de taxistas privados que te hacen el trayecto y te hacen de “guías” y te cobran bastante caro. Yo viajo sola y me hubieran gustado más opciones de excursiones y más económicas.

Für ein paar erholsame Tage am Strand zur Entspannung

Pros: Die Lage am Strand war fantastisch. Die Anlage ist gepflegt, und man bewegt sich auf kleinen Wegen unter Bäumen und Pflanzen zu den verschiedenen Cabanas, dem Restaurant, dem Pool und zum Strand. Es herrscht eine gemütliche Atmosphäre. Das Angebot an Yoga und Achtsamkeitskursen war gut, mindestens zwei bis maximal dreimal am Tag konnte man zusätzlich Stunden buchen, die auf einer erhöhten, überdachten, grossräumigen Yoga-Plattform mit Meeresrauschen gehalten worden. Es ist kein Ort für Massentourismus, und die Touristen vermischen sich mit Gästen von ausserhalb des Resorts in den Restaurants, der Bar und in den Kursen. Die Betten waren gemütlich und unsere Cabana war mit einem Airconditioner ausgestattet, was wir als grossen Vorteil empfunden haben. Das Essen war sehr gut und das Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich musste einen Arzt kommen lassen, wobei mir mit der Organisation von der Rezeption geholfen wurde. Mehrmals am Tag kam Sicherheitspersonal durch das Resort gelaufen.

Cons: Es handelt sich um eine „gated community“ und ausserhalb des kleinen Dorfes Perla Marina ist es weniger friedlich. Also kein Ort, den wir als geeignet empfunden haben, um von dort aus viele tolle Ausflüge mit dem Auto oder zu Fuss zu machen. Es gab auch einige freilaufende Hunde aus der Umgebung. Jedoch hat sich das Personal immer bemüht, aus dem Resort heraus die Hunde zu verscheuchen.
