PUNTA POPY BOUTIQUE HOTEL - Adults Only

Pros: Best stay we had in the DR. The rooms are actually small villas, each individual. Huge bed! Very clean room and they clean it daily - change towels. The hotel property itself looks like a little Balinese gem, small but clean pool, amazing sunbeds with very comfortable cushions. Once on property all chaos disappears. Amazing breakfast: fruit, homemade jam (as good as raved about in other reviews), 1 hot dish to choose, freshly made juice and coffee. Owners are very friendly and helpful and let us store luggage the last day.

Great hotel

Pros: We really liked the location. The hotel is not far from a nice beach and great restaurants. We also drove to a completely empty beach about 30 minutes away. I really enjoyed the breakfast and the conversations with the owner. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was big enough. The only issue we had was with the Wi-Fi between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m.; after that, it was fine.

Cons: Wifi between 8pm and 9pm

Pros: I had a great stay at Punta Popy. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable, the room was perfectly prepared, and the owners were incredibly kind, fun, and always ready with helpful tips that made exploring Las Terrenas even better.

Pros: With Jaume and Montse at Popy hotel we felt like home, in a super-cozy environment where we could experience a very comfortable and quite stay. Ideal place in the nature with all comfort and helpful owners who have arranged for us activities and transports. The way the hotel is managed, furnished and the whole atmosphere is absolutely the best we could find in Las Terrenas.

Lovely

Pros: Nice basic and clean room with a big double bed and an extra bed in very small mezzanine. A relaxing atmosphere in the garden and pool area. Breakfast was delicious. Owners are lovely. A plus point for me was that I could pay by credit card without paying an extravagant fee as in most Dominican hotels...if you can pay by card at all!

Cons: The mezzanine was tiny with no room to maneuver whatsoever. I was the unlucky one to sleep there and I hit my head multiple times. It is also a very hot spot in the room. Although there was a coffee machine in the room, there were no extra water bottles, except in the minibar for which you had to pay. The room is basic. There is no TV and in general the room, and especially the bathroom/shower, misses the quality finish. I find the price quite steep for what you get. But, at the moment, everything touristic is overpriced in the Dominican Republic.

I was very impressed and would highly recommend this place.

Pros: Jaume and Montse make the best breakfast with fresh ingredients. It was delicious! They were fantastic hosts. The villas are located in a beautiful, tropical setting.

Beautifil accomodation, with everything you could need for a relaxing stay

Pros: There was nothing not to like. Everything from the rooms, the bed, the breakfast, pool, and gardens and the host - everything was fantastic!

Cons: Nothing not to like with the accomodation.

Pros: Perfect, really not much to say here. What could be better? NOTHING. Room is beautiful with all the modern comforts and great aesthetic. Owners are incredible, anything they can fix. Breakfast was perfect menu and also perfect timing.
