Pros: The location is beautiful, rustic appearance, that was spectacular. We loved our time there. Staff were very nice and took great care with us. Prices were very affordable. A bit of road construction on the way there, but no problem. The rustic pools were amazing. Food and drink were great. Nothing we did not like.

Great experience for nature lovers

Pros: This is an amazing and unique accommodation in the heart of nature. Especially great for birders, since the rare Ridgway’s Hawk and many other interesting species can be seen easily around the lodge. The food is great for a good price and the staff super friendly. Of course you have to expect difficulties if you don’t speak Spanish, but if you try enough, you always get what you want. Also I have to mention the amazing views from the rooms and properties!

Cons: There was no AC in the rooms, only a fan. Hot water was not running.

Pros: Just a fantastic place - very unique. Nice staff, good food, fantastic views from our room. It might be rustic for some people, but the room was very spacious and comfortable. No air-conditioning, but the location on the hillside was breezy and cool - the ceiling fans were more than enough. A beautiful spot and a different experience - one of our favourite places in the D.R.

Excellent view

Pros: The view from the balcony was great. The food in the restaurant was good and not expensive. The staff is very polite and patient with demanding guests.

Cons: We visited during torrential rains and noticed a small water leak from the roof into our room. The access road from Sabana de la mar requires crossing many deep puddles of mud.

Unique stay in a natural atmosphere with easy access to the national park

Pros: Prime location with beautiful view across the national park and bay. All day personal tour with Wilfred, the memorable guide. Very unique natural pool at a waterfall with a beautiful atmosphere.

Cons: Included dinner was not very good for vegetarians, I can’t speak for the other options though.

Lovely Time Spent

Pros: The surroundings are stunning, the natural pools and waterfalls beautiful. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and unique. The restaurant really nice and the food delicious and well priced. The staff are wonderful, polite and very accommodating.

Cons: ALL the stairs and climbing. If you have any mobility issues, you're going to struggle to the pool and back to the hotel. While I also appreciate that the \
