La Isla Royale Hotel, Island of Comfort

Pros: The room was modern, clean, bright and well equipped.Great parking right in front, too. The staff were wonderful and the pool, though small, is really nice. There is a beautiful, undisturbed beach just about 5 minutes down the road by car. The town of Miches offers an authentic, non-touristy, Dominican experience.

Cons: The hotel is awesome but it's a bit tricky getting around the town by car if you're not experienced in the ways of Dominican driving.
