Pros: The hotel delivered on expectation - it was safe and clean and central to Ciudad Colonial. The staff were attentive and always available, and safety was clearly a top priority.

Cons: It was a bit unclear what the hotel had to offer otherwise, and the rooms are spread across different buildings. While the hotel had food options available, it was slightly confusing to figure out how it worked. The area in general is the tourist corner of the city, so once you have seen the sights, you would need to venture elsewhere for things to do.

A hidden oasis that reveals more and more as you wander through its labyrinthian wonders.

Pros: The spaces, from the courtyards to the pools to the communal spaces to the rooms themselves - everything was magnificent. The service easily matched the facilities - they were constantly helpful and accommodating. Great character and absolutely unique destination.

Cons: The food was not quite up to the excellent quality of the rest of the establishment. The menu could have been both simpler (fewer items) but more diverse, in offering items. Meaning there could have been more cultural and culinary diversity on the menu, as well as a broader range of the kinds of dishes offered, from snacks, appetisers, entrees, mains, side dishes, etc.

Lovely accommodation, but don’t eat there.

Pros: The rooms and location were excellent. The rooms were very well equipped the eating spaces were lovely.

Cons: The service was very slow. The restaurant is clearly not set up for fine dining despite the unwarranted high prices the food was mediocre, overcooked and cold. The staff did their best but the starters arrived with the mains despite being clearly labelled as starters in the menu.

Pros: An amazing places : you feel like being back in colonial times. Facilities are absolutely stunning, every detail of it

Pros: Absolutely beautiful. Decor is charming and comfortable. Staff is well trained and anxious to help. Selso, the butler at my “house” could not have been more helpful with delicious meals, beverages etc. The pool shared by several rooms in same house.

Pros: perfect location within the center of the old city. staff exceptionally friendly and helpful - all of them. bathroom of 5 star quality in all categories.

Cons: had a flight at 2230hrs. was offered 70 usd until 1700hrs, but wanted 1900 and had to pay a full night. found it excessive, but without alternative.

Lovely stay in Santo Domingo.

Pros: Location was great. Not too far from castle and many bars restaurants. The staff did everything they could to cater for our needs. We also had a lovely private dinner by the swimming pool.

Cons: WiFi facilities were poor and didn't work in our room.
