Superb hotel in historic building A must stay in Santo Domingo.

Pros: Fantastic hotel on an important historic building in this colonial city. Lovely spacious premises. Great restaurant. Do stay in one of the imperial rooms as you get access to a lounge with unlimited coffee and snacks all day. Lovely pool and beautiful premises.

Very nice architecture in a perfect location. Too expensive.

Pros: Very nice colonial building. Nice pool area and a good gym. The location is right in the colonial zone and you can reach everything by foot. Breakfast is good but a bit expensive if not included (20 USD)

Cons: We had a ground floor room with the window right out to the busy road, people could look directly into our room. We had the shutter closed all the time. A curtain would solve the problem and leave natural light. No toilet brush. The view from the pool is not very nice (port with huge ships). The matraces in the sunbeds are not very nice. Our door card stopped working multiple times, but was always fixed quickly All in all we think the price is too high for what it is, eventhough it is an amazing building and we felt very comfortable.

Pros: Great location in central colonial zone, building had some great historic features.

Cons: Breakfast was not good and really poor options and food quality.

Lovely hotel full of history

Pros: The hotel itself is full of history and looks beautiful and it’s in the heart of the colony city

Cons: Some defects in the bathroom and A/C was not working but they changed my room quickly

Wonderful stay - we'll be back!

Pros: We loved this hotel. Yes, it's a little pricey, but the service is great and attention to detail is superb. The staff were incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Top marks! VERY clean, too. Wonderful breakfast! The pool was superb, the decor perfectly suited the building, which was full of history. We plan to return here regularly. Thank you for a great stay!

Very comfortable. Lovely open pool and bar area. Scent in the reception area with great service.

Pros: Perfect location with easy access to to al Colonial Zone sites and easy taxi access too. Spacious public areas. Colonial room was very atmospheric if a little small. Comfortable bed. Greeting at reception with complimentary bubbly cocktail.

Cons: Was told the restaurant was not available due to a private function. Understandable.
