Friend's birthday trip

Pros: The beach area was beautiful and very relaxing. The room was comfortable and well maintained, and the pool area was also very nice and enjoyable to spend time around. I especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and the overall setting.

Cons: It felt a bit too busy for my preference, and the food seemed more focused on quantity rather than quality. However, overall the experience was still okay.

Pros: We had an unforgettable stay here! The hotel is big and clean. Food was really tasty and various. À la cart restaurants were atmospheric and the food was delicious as well. Staff was nice and super friendly. Animation team did their best to entertain guests. Lots of bars and snack bars worked all night long so there’s no way you could be hungry. The beach was great and water was really warm. We are really happy to choose Occidental Punta Cana!!!

Cons: We had one problem in the bathroom during our stay but the staff was really helpful and quick so our problem was solved. We’re grateful for that as well.

Cons: They need to put the shower head closest to the glass wall to prevent flooding on the bathroom floor

Great spot for all

Pros: Breakfast was good and many options. Activities on going most of day. Great staff (Yolanda) ! Clean premises, great gardens. Large pools. Great beach!

Clean, nice premises and spacious, comfy rooms, great location, polite staff. Good variety of amenities and facilities.

Pros: The hotel is kept clean and looks like the photos, the rooms are spacious and comfy.

Cons: The buffet and snack bars were good but the food quality in a lot of the restaurants wasn’t great. Most of the food was lukewarm, and some of the portion sizes were small. It was still ok, but needs improvement. Also on checking out, for the whole stay we were asking about late checkout. The front desk kept telling us come as early as possible on your day of check out to ask about late checkout out, and they would tell us the availability. We even went the night before and it was still the same answer. So we thought, fair enough, and got up at 8am to go to the front desk, I was the first person there when it opened and yet they said late checkout out wasn’t possible. I managed to get an extra hour after asking again, but we had to wait around for hours as our taxi was booked for later. I think for planning purposes like booking a taxi this needs to be looked at. Why couldn’t they have told us the night before so we had more time to prepare?

Pros: Room ocean view was perfect, food and staff was perfect

Cons: Wifi was not good at all

Great tropical location, many palm trees and clean pools. Nice staff. We made many family memories here.

Pros: The pool was the best! Great tropical vacation spot.

Cons: The food wasn’t the best. Missing flavour.

You won't be disappointed

Pros: Room was lovely really big bed cleaned every day and mini fridge stocked up every day for free. Massive food choice all cooked lovely loads of restaurants and buffets 3 big pools 1 with swim up bar Beach was amazing, we went in October lots of sea weed but the hotel collected it off the beach every day Hotel was lovely

Cons: Staff just seemed like they couldn't be bothered and hard work ordering stuff with the language barrier being English

Beautiful Resort and Fantastic Staff

Pros: The resort is very beautiful and well-maintained, with lots of things to do. The food is very good, and there are many options available. The staff are very kind and always smiling, although most of them don’t speak English, so communication can sometimes be difficult. The waiters and cleaning staff were fantastic — always friendly, attentive, and doing a great job.

Cons: When I arrived, they asked me to make a payment even though I had already paid a few weeks earlier. After checking again, they confirmed I was right — I believe (and hope) it was just a mistake. I also asked for a lunch box, as it was mentioned to be available, but they told me it wasn’t true and it wasn’t possible to get one. The entertainment team wasn’t particularly engaging — as a solo traveler, I expected a bit more interaction, but no one ever approached me.

Stay was very good.

Pros: Room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. I didn’t really use the pool but it seemed to be well maintained and would meet expectations

Cons: The drinks that were served didn’t have any alcohol or if there was any it was not tasted in any of the drinks even if we asked for something more stronger. I guess all inclusive alcoholic beverages are very low grade.
