Pros: Their staff were amazing specially the entertainment one and in the restaurants

A perfect stay at the Ambar resort.

Pros: This hotel is beautiful with very good food and very good service. A special thank you to Jesus for is wonderful service at the reception at the lobby of the Ambar.

Cons: That week we had alot of seaweed at the beach in front of the resort.

Pros: The food, staff, facilities were all excellent. Special mention to Candy and all the buffet restaurant staff (David in particular) who were always pleasant and ready to help

We had a wonderful week celebrating my birthday. It was our first time at a resort!

Pros: There were extra little surprises that we enjoyed like the Fiesta Dominicana, feature drinks each night, staff approaching us often to ask how things were going etc.

Cons: The entertainment was great but I would have liked it to start earlier so we could enjoy it after dinner. I found myself too tired to wait until it began.

Beautiful hotel situated on a stunning beach

Pros: Huge room and good size balcony. Comfy bed. Decent shower. Great food. Spacious and well equipped air conditioned gym.

Nice but far from 5 stars

Pros: all was amazing, the entertainment group was really funny, pool activities and all that, restaurants are amazing really nice cuisine, beach seats are great. all great

Cons: the drinks at the pool aren't that great, they are really sweet and pretty much no alcohol, so just skip cocktails and ask something strong, beer is awful and theres only 1 kind of beer (presidente, it sucks), you need to pay for a corona or heineken if you want one IN AN ALL INCLUSIVE RESORT so that's pretty lame and make us angry, in the lobby you have jack daniels and pretty good whiskey but when we went to the disco (the disco is part of the resort and is also all inclusive), it has a low cost whiskey and low cost drinks, it didn't taste good so we never went back. staff sometimes is not helpful mostly from lobby and from restaurants or their answers are not helpful answers.

Amazing stay in a gorgeous resort

Pros: The resort is amazing! There are lots of lovely restaurants to choose from. The private beach is amazing! The staff are fantastic particularly Anabel and the breakfast team. Anabel is so friendly and really made our stay extra special by her attention to details by adding flowers to our table.

great adult experience, relax, and fun

Amazing honeymoon experience!

Pros: The staff are unbelievably friendly. From the moment you check in, to the moment you leave you feel like they're incredibly happy to have you there! They even gave us a free bottle of prosecco and made the room all special for us, because we were celebrating our honeymoon! Honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Cons: The special restaurants that you can go to for dinner are far too hot. This made the eating experience a bit unpleasant especially as you had to dress up for the restaurants. Sitting in a suit or dress in a hot restaurant isn't great. It made us want to finish our meal quickly and get back to the room rather than savour our meal and order more drinks or desert. Definitely would recommend in them adding more air conditioning to those restaurants.
